In 2015 Matt Dunbabin was awarded Australian Farmer of the Year and Diversification Farmer of the year for his work at Bangor. Today the property supports a diverse range of enterprises from fine wool production, to prime lamb, beef, cropping, grapes and wine, tourism and nature conservation.

Bangor's cellar door and cafe, the Bangor Vineyard Shed, has been awarded the 2015 Bronze Medal for New Tourism and was listed as one the 2016 James Halliday top ten best new wineries.

Bangor has a long and proud tradition of caring for the environment. Bangor was awarded the 1996 National Landcare Nature Conservation Award and the 2004 McKell Medal for excellence in natural resource management.
